Boiler Upgrade Scheme

The Boiler Upgrade Scheme offers grants to help homeowners make the switch to low-carbon heating. One grant is available per property, and the current support includes:
£7,500

towards the installation of an air source heat pump

£7,500

towards a ground source heat pump (including water source systems and those using shared ground loops)

£5,000

towards a biomass boiler

Please note: grants are not available for hybrid systems, such as a combination of a gas boiler and heat pump.

To qualify, your chosen system must meet certain performance and efficiency standards—your installer will be able to advise you on these. The maximum system capacity is 45kWth for individual systems and 300kWth for shared ground loops.

Green Business Grants

Green business grants offer financial support to help companies lower their carbon footprint, boost energy efficiency, and save on long-term energy costs. These grants are typically aimed at small to medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), though some schemes may also include larger businesses. Here’s a breakdown of the types of green grants available:

Am I Eligible?

Eligibility requirements vary depending on the scheme, but most green grants are available to SMEs and, in some cases, larger businesses. It’s always best to check the criteria for the specific grant you’re interested in.

Funding can cover up to 50% of the project cost, so please don’t hesitate to get in touch with us to find out if your business qualifies.

Energy Efficiency Grants

Support for measures that reduce energy use—such as LED lighting, insulation upgrades, or heating system improvements.

Renewable Energy Grants

Funding to help businesses adopt renewable energy solutions, including solar panels, wind turbines, or biomass boilers.

Low Carbon Innovation Grants

Designed to support the development and commercialisation of innovative low-carbon products or technologies.

Carbon Emission Reduction Grants

Aimed at reducing your overall carbon output through waste reduction, energy improvements, and other sustainability practices.

EV Charging Infrastructure Grants

Help towards installing electric vehicle charging points at commercial premises. The UK government offers an EV Chargepoint Grant to help with the cost of installing an EV home charger. It provides up to £350 or 75% of the cost (whichever is less). This grant is available to renters, flat owners, and those with on-street parking.
